About Marlene..

When Marlene was little, one of her favorite things to do was “play school.” There was nothing more fulfilling for her little 10-year-old heart and mind than to make lists, plans, calendars, and assignments. As a teenager, this transitioned into rearranging and organizing her room, keeping a planner, and reading self-help books. All those loves have now turned into a real job, her dream job, and she couldn’t be more grateful! When Marlene is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking long walks outdoors, listening to a good podcast, or watching engaging and thought-provoking movies or TV shows. Marlene does not consider herself to be super adventurous and describes herself as a homebody, but she does love to spend time at her home away from home in Georgia. She loves the southern hospitality, sense of community, and slower pace of life.

Marlene graduated from the University of Utah (go Utes!!) in 2021 with a degree in social work. The plan was to get a master’s degree and become a therapist, but in the end, she couldn’t deny that her heart lived behind the scenes. There is no such thing as “Sunday Scaries” for Marlene; she loves coming to work every day and collaborating with amazing people that help oversee the daily operations of Aspire, and she enjoys the challenge of it all: finance, legal, administration, billing, intake, customer service, growth development and planning, human resources, marketing, public relations, business consulting, and clinical support.

Marlene’s Motivation...

“For me, it is about the people. As much as I love the numbers, the spreadsheets, the operations, and the processes, it is the collaboration with people that means the most. I learn so much every day about leadership, relationships, the world, and, most importantly, myself. I love the people I work with!”

Marlene is proud of…

Her children! Her oldest daughter is married and teaches 1st grade; her oldest son is in college; her second daughter just graduated from high school; and the baby boy now drives. She can hardly believe they are so old, but every day she is in awe of the incredible humans they are becoming!
